Obituary of Susan Lee Matison

Susan Matison Passed away very peacefully at her home July 7, 2006. She was a beautiful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Susan was born April 3, 1926, in Bremerton, first daughter of Harry & Leora Swanson. Susan was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Bremerton. She graduated from Bremerton HS in 1944 and from Pacific Lutheran University in 1972. She worked many years as Medical Social Worker at Tacoma Lutheran Home. Susan was married to John Hansen from 1946 until his death in 1970; she was married to Carl Matison from 1972 until his death in 1998. Susan is survived by her sister Alayne Alexander, stepsons Steven (Lucindy), Phillip (Kimberle), Thomas (Karen), Paul (Teri), Robert, many good & great grandchildren. Also by best friends Pat & Dick Lampson, nieces: Linda Coyle, Kris Pyle, Tish Miller; nephews Bill & Randy Alexander, and many wonderful friends from church and high school. Memorial service Friday July 14, 2006, 1:30 pm, United Lutheran Church, Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, donations to United Lutheran Church Bldg Fund or Tacoma Lutheran Home.
