I grew up with Alma in Bentleyville. We graduated high school together. Throughout the years since high school, Alma and I have kept in touch, and have visited from time to time. At the time she began serving in the Army, I attended the University of Pittsburgh. Later, I too served in WWII - as a pharmacist's mate in the Navy, married a wonderful man, Bill Beasley, and taught school for 34 years. My husband passed on in 1985, but I am surrounded by family - 2 grown children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Alma will be missed, and I think about her often with fond memories.

Joan & I were so sorry to learn of Alma's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this hard time. I have so many fond memories of our good times with Alma, Bob, Calvin, and my sister Reba when we played in the fields around Bentleyville 'until the street lights came on'. And the time our big cousin Alma, as the oldest, slipped out of Grandma's kitchen with the bright new apples Grandma was saving for Uncle Fred. We 5 cousins ate until we couldn't take another bite! Alma 'owned up' to her filching, but pretended that none of the rest of us were involved, taking all the blame herself!! Although we saw each other seldom when we were all grown, we had some good times during our infrequent visits. I shall miss her dearly. Jean & Joan

Alma will forever be remembered in my heart as a wonderfully kind and gracious woman. Over the years, the whole Rydbom family, including Stan and especially Karl, became very dear to our family. Times change and paths alter, but no matter the tides direction, your family will always have a place in our hearts. We will truly miss you Alma, thank you for everything.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. I had the pleasure of getting to know your mother over the past 10 years or so. Mrs. Rydbom always had a smile on her face no matter what was going on. She was always so appreciative and sweet. Every time I saw her, she put a smile on my face and made my day. There are some people in this world that can brighten up the entire day of everyone they come in contact with. Alma Rydbom was one of those people. She positively impacted my life. I will miss her. -Danette Jackson
