I studied voice with William Eddy in the l960s in Hollywood and Santa Barbara. He, Margrete, Kristine and the boys treated me like family and I loved them all. I especially appreciated Mr. Eddy's goodness, kindness and generosity. He blessed all who met him. I send my love to the family. Rosalee (Furniss) Baumgarten

It is with great sadness yet wonderful memories that I learn of Bill's passing. I was a doctoral student at USC in the late 1960s and early 70s and then had the privilege of teaching alongside Bill for about 5 years before he left USC. He was the most generous colleague and friend and I always looked forward to our semester-end juries when I could sit next to him and trade sometimes scandalous asides. We stayed in touch, usually at Christmas time, for many years to follow. I still can see and hear him in my mind and will be ever grateful that our lives crossed for a time. I miss him! Michael Sells

I always had such a pleasant visit with Mr. Eddy when he came to get a haircut, see I had been cutting Margreta and his hair since 1986. They both followed me whenever I moved salons. He lived a long and producted life, he was truely a genuine man. To Yuki and family, take care and may you find comfort during this difficult time. Love, Aileen

Uncle Bill was a treasured part of our family and we always enjoyed being with him. His generous and warm personality radiated out to infuse all who were around him. He had a wealth of wonderful stories to tell about people and events that seemed terribly exciting to those of us with more ordinary lives. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him, and I will treasure my memories of him.

Our dear friend & neighbor we miss you greatly. You cared for us as if we were your own children, and told us over and over how much you loved us. We had nearly 10 years of enjoying your thoughtfulness and care. Our relationship was truly unique, and we count it a great privilege to have known you and to be numbered amongst your loved ones.

I studied with Bill in the 60s and 70s and loved every minute of it. I followed him from LA to Seattle and lived there to be able to study with him. He and Margarete took me in and included me in their family and made me feel like I belonged. I will never forget his humor, his brilliance as a teacher, his humanity, etc. I loved he and Margarete very much and am blessed to have known them and worked with him. My best to all the family.
