My brother was an awesome guy! When we were growing up, he was the oldest, and I was the youngest. And normally with the youngest, you don’t wanna hang out with them, my brother was different. He brought me everywhere with him. I hung out with him and his friends an he always made me feel important. That’s the type of man he was. No matter who you were, he always made you feel like you were important. Bill would tell me bedtime stories every night, and when he was 22, he decided it was time for him to move out and get a place of his own. I was devestated! I bawled cause I thought I’d never see my brother again, I was a kid so I obviously was being dramatic, lol, but even after he moved out, he would come and pick me up to hang out with him. Bill had nick names for everyone and everything. He called me Tif, my sister Beth is great aunt Bethany and our mother is mom cat. I will miss his quirky ways and everything about him! I’m sure when he got to Heaven, he was cracking jokes. I love you forever Brother Bill. Until we meet again.

Bill, I know you made Corey very happy when you found each other. Eric is an unending sign of your love for each other. Now that you are with other loved ones in heaven I know you no longer have pain or fear. You will always watch over your family on Earth and keep them safe with your memory always in their hearts. Love you Corey. Blessings to all the family. Jennifer López-Silvers

There are times when mere words cannot express the sorrow one feels, or can heal a wounded heart, or provide hope to carry one through to the next day. This is one of those times. I have such cherished memories growing up with my cousin Bill; Holiday gatherings (the Fourth of July and Christmastime were my particular favorites), building marvelous things out of Legos, Tinker Toys and Erector sets, playing baseball, throwing the football around, snow tubing down the pasture hill, singing along to Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant Massacree (with the four-part harmony), working on our cars ... ah, the sweet simplicity of youth. Although through the years our lives would drift apart, my son and I were privileged to be among those celebrating Bill’s marriage to Corey. I was stunned when I learned of his illness, hoping and praying that he would win his battle with cancer, but God seems to have had a different plan. Through it all, Bill’s humor, bravery and selflessness shown through. He would always ask me how I was doing, as if any problem I might have could possibly compare to his. Remarkable. I will miss my cousin, my friend, and will always remember his kindness, intelligence, generosity and selflessness. My wish for Bill’s family, and for everyone who loved him, is to find comfort in faith, knowing that he has gone home to be with God and will forever live in our hearts.

I didn't know Bill, but I know Corey. She was related me to by way of my brother Andy Jr. - she was one of his best friends. Bill must have been a wonderful man, because Corey is a wonderful woman. I like to think that Bill and Andy Jr. are talking about Corey and Eric, and laughing and smiling as they look upon us on Earth. Corey, I'm so sad for you and Eric. Know that my sister Andrea, my sons, Ron, and I are thinking of you at this time, and always. Aloha, Cheryl Carino-Burr
