Obituary of James Allen Stinson
James A. Stinson, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2019 at his home in Puyallup, WA. He was born on June 9th, 1946 in Chehalis, WA to John and Mildred (Thomas) Stinson.
He will be remembered most for his gentle strength. No matter what life threw at him, he was a steady, reliable constant in the lives of his family and friends. He found the strength to raise his son after his first wife’s (Sharon) untimely death in 1979, and to adapt after a massive stroke left him paralyzed in 1996. Through it all, his warm, goofy personality never wavered. The source of his strength was his faith in Jesus Christ.
He found joy in fishing, cooking and working in his garden. He lived to make his wife, Norma, happy. He loved her, his four boys and granddaughter with all of his heart. Our loving husband, father and Papa will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Norma; sons, Joe (Katie), Adam (Mandy), Andrew and James; and granddaughter Kendal. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at 11AM at Champions Centre in Tacoma, WA (His church of 31 years).
Arrangements by Edwards Memorial, Funerals Homes, Chapels and Crematories.
