Obituary of Hayley Lynn Howell

Hayley Lynn Howell

On August 5, 2019, Hayley Lynn Howell, a beautiful Angel on Earth, went to live with her Heavenly Father after a long battle with colon cancer.

Hayley was so beautiful inside and out. She was kind and compassionate to everyone she met. Hayley was always smiling and upbeat. A bright Shining Star went out the day she passed at only 35 years old. She was born June 23, 1984 to Helen P. and Steven H. Howell. She was too good for this dark world and will be deeply missed.

Hayley was exceptionally talented in so many ways. She had the voice of an Angel. She wrote her own songs and recorded them for us to enjoy. Hayley had a great connection with children. They flocked to her. She was an author of two children`s books: Sammy`s CatVentures. Her books brought smiles to children around the world.

Hayley completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a 3.92 GPA and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Elementary School Counseling where she was set to graduate in the Fall 2019. Reflected within her books and songs, she has left us with three valuable lessons: 1.) Laughter is the best medicine, 2.) Believe in yourself, and 3.) Love never dies.

Hayley is survived by her best friend and Mother, Helen P. Howell; her hero – her Father Steven H. (Tanya) Howell, two brothers, Kylan and Spencer; and sister Heather (Alex) Blaze; Aunts and uncles, many cousins, friends, and her beloved cats Oreo and Citrus. Hayley was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Federal Way Stake Center, 34815 Weyerhaeuser Way South, Federal Way, WA.  Friends may call for VIEWING Thursday, August 15, 6 - 8 p.m. at the LDS Stake Center and Friday, August 16, from 10 - 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
