Obituary of Raymond Wilson
Ray was born January 20, 1941, in Yelm, WA to Nathaniel and Rhoda Wilson. After his parents passed, he was lovingly raised by James and Letha Isom. After he graduated from Yelm High School, he joined the Air Force. While in Texas, he met and married his wife of 57 years, Tina. He sold insurance then worked as a refrigeration specialist. He built the family home in McKenna where he raised his three kids, Dana (Derek) McConnell, Steve Wilson and Darlene (Chuck DeHart) Kemp. He is also survived by his sister Pat Isom, brothers Tom (Shari) Isom, Bob (Chris) Isom. Grandkids Michael (Sarah) Powers, Randi Rae Beardslee, Jordan Kemp and Dylan McConnell. Great grandkids, Bailey and Kira Powers. Also, many more brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Ray loved hunting, fishing and clam digging. He was a story teller, (better pull up a chair). He was a gardener, enjoyed dancing, cribbage and poker. The hunting channel was his favorite. And for many years, he smoked his pipe and drove his bright green truck.
Ray passed on May 6, 2021 at home in McKenna.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 15th at 12:00pm at the Yelm Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be on May 29th at the Yelm Moose Lodge from 12:00-2:00.
