My first full time job was at Soundview Medical Plaza, Dr Weis read our films at Puget Sound Hospital. We used to have to walk the films across two parking lots to the reading room. I enjoyed doing this as it got me outside for a few minutes. I was shocked one day when Dr Weis brought back the images he had read. He said he enjoyed getting outside and stretching his legs. I thought this was so nice of him, he cursed like a sailor and could appear gruff but was very kind. I also worked with him at Allenmore Hospital before CMBC opened. I came in one day to him cursing up a storm about Windows because he couldn’t get the reading station to come up. He loved Apple. I went back to see if I could discover the problem only to find the monitor was turned off. He praised my computer skills and I didn’t have the heart to tell him of the simple fix. Dr Weis helped me take the Rads off the pedestal and realize they are human.
May you find strength and peace during times the grief is difficult. With time, may you share laughter and love at the best memories of your life with George.
Warm regards,
