Obituary of John Charles Woods

John Charles Woods (68), passed away on January 8, 2022 from Covid complications and other underlying health conditions.

 

John was born in Salmon Idaho eventually moving to the Puyallup Washington area. He attended the University of Washington and BYU. Later in life he eventually earned his Masters Degree form the university of Phoenix. He married Kristine Miller and they had 4 children. He work at Boeing for over 35 years as an Engineer.  

 

John had many talents. He was a DIY guy who thought he could fix anything. He always had a project he was working on. John had a love of the outdoors whether it would be camping, backpacking, canoeing, fishing, or snowmobiling. He was a master fire builder. He did enjoy the classic family road trip every summer whether it be to Yellowstone, Vegas, Disneyland, or Canada. 

 

John taught his kids many things. His teachings included a love of the Gospel,

Financial responsibility, importance of education and a love of sports and the outdoors. He was a great leader in the church especially in Boy Scouts. He coached baseball and softball for several years. He also really loved his grandchildren.

 

Every year he would run the Sky Ride at the Puyallup Fair. He never rested and was always on the go. He enjoyed spending time in Whistler, St Marie’s, Easton and Palm Springs. 

 

We hope you are now finally at peace. You are whole. We will miss you. We love you. We hope you are reunited with your parents and with our Allison. Take care until we meet again.
